I have seen the first dawn of a new year - I welcome it
It may be a year of really good works
A year of salvation a year in which I shall make myself whole
I am yours once more and forever
I must mind my own business
Thinking of myself without undue agitation
Intense, Tranquil, recollected
The youthful burning irresistible enthusiasm seems to fill my heart
All my fervour, my energy and the living fire within me
My heart finds its most sincere expression in the humblest of actions
Not too much of anything
Man is never so great as when he is on his knees

Above all I must be aware of being superficial or inconstant
I must take everything into consideration
And follow with delight the ascending movement
My days must always be burning like the fiery heat of the desperate
I bear within my breast a burning heart

A little about the EP

This collection of 6 songs kind of feels like an album. Taking you through a plethora of themes and styles from the opening track ‘I Fell Down’ reminiscent of the likes of indie goodness Grandaddy through the 60s tinged ‘Winter Sun’, to the 70s feel of the joyous, raucous, funny closing track ‘2 Whammy Bars’. This EP is a must have for anyone who likes beautiful, off kilter songs that you will be humming for days.
